Psychological Counselling

Val offers a counselling service with an occupational focus.  She recognises that work is a central part of life (whether we are employed or unemployed).  The workplace (or absence of)  has a significant impact on our lives as a whole.

 

Val can help you with issues such as: anxiety, depression, stress, self esteem, relationships, pain managment and weight loss.  

She uses outcome based, brief therapuetic techniques.  Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is an intergral part of her practice. She is client focused, and enables her clients to make their own choices.

The Process

The process is very flexible and depends entirely on your needs.  An initial one and a half hour session will help to clarify your needs, and help you to decide how you would like to proceed.
