Please note that career counselling attracts the GST.  Psychological treatment is GST free.

Many private medical funds give rebates for psychological services.

Medicare now covers psychological services for people who have been diagnosed with a mental health disorder (such as depression or anxiety) by their doctor.  Talk to your doctor and ask him/her to write a mental health care plan for you and refer you to a psychologist - either one of your choice or one that your doctor recommends.
